Jimchamp1 0 #1 January 20, 2002 Sorry,I am new at this so I don't understand. I am a little ignorant to some of these things. Would an audible altimeter mean that I don't actually have to have a "regular altimeter"? Does a computer tell you or something? And is that thing you said you reccomend go over it called an audible pocket? More specifically I was wondering what these things do (their function)? Thanks,Jimmy

MarkM 0 #3 January 21, 2002 An audible altimeter simply beeps at a preset altitude. You'll generally have 3 altitudes and 3 different types of beeps you can use. They're no replacement for a good visual altimeter and are just a means of backup, something to warn you or notify you of certain altitudes you want a reminder or warning at.
