Certain "ad-revolver" content-ref sites causing problems?

I've noticed just recently, that my browsing forums can sometimes get grossly "hung-up" and entire page requests (including just now even trying to get into this forum to post this! ) will "time-out" and/or "freeze" and (repeatedly) fail to load. It's frustrating!

In all the recent cases - they seem to have one common denominator: "Waiting for b.scorecardresearch.com"

What gives?

If you use Firefox, you can use Ad-Blocker to block the lot of them. I do.
