stayhigh 2 #26 March 5, 2014 If sigma can start making 300 or 310's that be fucking awesome. Or Icarus can make elliptical tandem canopies.Bernie Sanders for President 2016
Islander-O 0 #27 March 17, 2014 For long time I followed one old skydiving wisdom "Big chunk o cloth above your have head never hurts". However, working in DZ with very restricted landing area, high winds and turbulence I changed my mind. The forward speed is critical factor in bumpy conditions. Higher your wing load, more speed your have. So, if you are going to work at DZ located in flat area , with stable winds, heavy customers - go for bigger canopy. If not, consider downsizing. I am, personally, the fun of Icarus-300, however this model is out of production. My next choice is 330.

DougH 222 #29 May 3, 2016 Lets add trim to the conversation. In my experience a smaller A2 feels much more susceptible to getting put in a flight cycle by turbulence than a larger SET."The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
camamel 0 #30 August 2, 2016 Here we have only sigma's 340 for all passengers size in every condition. In my mind and from my insu that work at other dz before, this is the best main canopy on the market and with only 2 reserves in our last 7000+ jumps this is also very reliable. I think we can copare the sigma 340 to a big stiletto. The toggle pressure is easier then the sigma 370 and a lot better then the EZ 384.When you think you're good...this is when you become dangerous.
