closest wind tunnel to reno nv

Recommended Posts

Yes, it's OK to be new to this site and not yet be familiar with how to navigate all its bells and whistles.

Here's a link to various tunnel locations.

Closest one to you might be iFly SF Bay, about 4 hours away from you. Next closest decent ones are in Perris and Hollywood, CA, each about 8 hours away. The one in Las Vegas is about 7 hours away, but it has a comparatively lower reputation among skydivers as being older technology giving a lesser-quality experience.

I did notice the one at Skydive Arizona was missing from that list.

A short hop on a plane will also get him to PHX or Denver a whole lot faster than a drive to SF

Ya, but then you have to deal with expensive plane tix, luggage, car rentals, blah, blah...in the end, it will end up being a longer trip.

The tunnel in SF is 4 hours by car from Reno. Use the tunnel in SF, meet local coaches, get to know local jumpers so you can join in on tunnel time and meet new skydiving friends.

To the OP, we are always planning tunnel trips with Reno and Cali jumpers, so PM me and I will put you on the group contact list:)

And for the record: the appropriate ranking of cool modes of transportation is jet pack, hover board, transporter, Batmobile, and THEN giant ant.
