Anyone ever know what happened to Geno Johnson?

Recommended Posts

What ever became of Geno (Walten Eguine) Johnson? He dissapeared twenty years ago and has not been heard of since. I've heard various rumors over the years but no confermation. I never really liked him much but am still curious as to what happend to him after he split the scene.

He was one of those guys @ Perris during the 80's that allways stood out (know what I mean, Sniff, Sniff)

I met his brother once (name escapes me) and he was 180 deg from Geno, did one or two jumps and that was it! Geno hailed from Oklahoma if I recall correctly. Just curious.

Mick.
PS: I really hope he managed to work ot his issues and is doing fine, who knows maybe I'll like him this time around, He certanly was a smart guy (very high IQ)and had a lot of positive things to offer.

Mick.

I know this won't help at all, but I hung out with a Geno Johnson in '89 - '90 in DeLand. He wasn't there after that and I have no idea where he went and the only people I know who seemed to keep tabs on him didn't know either. Did he have long, straight brown hair and wear glasses? Did he play guitar, talk a lot and kind of fast? Did he smoke a lot and call it something like "Bob"? As in 'why not stop by and visit with me & Bob." Did he jump an ugly brown Vector? (Ok, that memory might be total fabrication)

Except for the rig that sounds like him.

Well, you know memory. It could have been a blue Racer for all I can swear to. I'd be curious to learn if you find him. Nothing crucial like he owes me money or anything. Just curious. I was a new kid on the block at the time and Geno sort of took me in a bit, showed me a few of the ropes. (Burned a lot of "rope" with that boy!)

Hi Mick!!,
Yeah, Geno went to Fla. from Perris. He left there and disapeared into the night. I do recall a few cases of beer ago reading a letter to Parachutist from him, it was posted from somewhere in Texas!!

Met "Geno" at Deland in the early 90's.
He left in the middle of the night. Read the letter in Parachutist from him also.
Check out the Texas penal system.
Walton Eugene Johnson, proper name if I remember correctly.
