Louisiana dropzones?????

So...I was about to pull the trigger and sign up for my aff course at gravity sports near Crowley Louisiana. Which is about 15-20 min drive from my driveway. When I called they are no longer in business. Does anyone know of any other DZ's in the Lafayette area. I've done searches on google an closest that I've found was a 4hr drive.(north of Shreveport an Mississippi). If anyone knows of any closer DZ I'd really appreciate it

Did you try clicking on the word "Dropzone" in the blue menu bar near the top? You then move the map and zoom in on your home, then select a distance, and click search.

There are a few odd balls in there (like a closed DZ with a Littlerock, AR address located in LA), but its a good start. (looks like a number in TX)

If I were in your boat, I'd pack up and head for either Gold Coast, or Spaceland.

Gold coast was great people last time I was there.

Spaceland is great people too. There's a bunk house here, you can make a weekend of it easy, or even do the full week course and knock it out all together. PM me.

Goldcoastskydivers.com would be a great choice. Your EXACTLY half way between Spaceland and Gold Coast. GC is only open during the weekend, but the last 3 times myself or a friend has went to spaceland we we on a weather hold all day due to high winds which they get often.

As a student your wind limits are more restrictive, something to think about. Both are great places tho.
