Zeppo 0 #1 November 11, 2008 hey I've just found out that I'm going to Stamford, Connecticut. Is there any dz there open and operating. I'm hoping just for a few hop and pops...and potentially a ride from the airport. Thanks. What goes up, must come DOWN!!!
pilotdave 0 #2 November 11, 2008 That's not too far from me. No DZs in that part of Connecticut, but it's not that far from multiple dropzones. Connecticut Parachutists (http://www.skydivect.com) and The Ranch (http://www.theblueskyranch.com are probably the easiest to get to. But not exactly nearby. pilotdave 0 #4 November 11, 2008 Probably about that from Stamford. I'm a little farther east along the coast and CPI takes me a little less than an hour and a half. The ranch is literally 0.8 miles farther for me and takes probably 1:45 or so. Stamford might be another 20 or 30 minutes to CPI... not sure about the ranch but it's probably longer too since stamford is farther south. AliMac 0 #5 November 14, 2008 The Ranch would be about 2 hours or just under 2 hours from Stamford. I'm staying in Danbury CT right now... if you want a ride to the Ranch let me know...
