Zenister 0 #3 July 17, 2003 just as a quicky SW is one of the better airlines for skydivers IME. Ask right when you check in specifically about sport parachutes and Airtec Cypress, they have a ticket sized print out they can give you to show the TSA.____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. freakyrat 1 #4 July 17, 2003 Southwest Airlines has the following in thwir baggage regulations. Baggage-Parachutes Parachutes equipped with the Cypres Automatic Opening System, AAD are considered an unregulated item by the US DOT, therefore Parachutes equipped with the Cypres AAD are authorized to be carried as eithe carryon or checked baggage by our customers. You can obtain a copy of this from one of the friendly Southwest Airlines Counter Supervisors. Have them type in the work Parachute or Cypres in their computer. It is listed under their baggage regulations. Hope this helps. Chris
