wnmccart 0 #1 July 24, 2003 We have someone at our DZ who had quadruple bypass surgery towards the end of May. Has anyone undergone this surgery, and if so, how long until jumping resumed?"Weaseling out of things is important to learn. jbrasher 0 #2 July 25, 2003 It would depend on how he's handling it (the recovery). I had bypass (7) Red, White and Blue Skies, John T. Brasher D-5166
SkymonkeyONE 3 #3 July 25, 2003 Actually, I know a person over the age of seventy who just recently had this operation and still skydives regularly: CSM (Retired) David L. Clark of the Green Beret Parachute Team. Of course he can also drop down and knock out over 100 pushups in under two minutes. I believe he to be the "exception" to the general health of jumpers his age. Chuck
SkymonkeyONE 3 #4 July 25, 2003 I failed to add that David Clark was skydiving five weeks after this surgery.
