worn (no more usable) PC to give ?

Recommended Posts

I know it will sound weird... :S but a friend of mine is actually applying for a job at a company called "base design" (graphic design company), and he wants to send them some kind of teaser just to make them choose him. We were thinking about something conceptual, so we come with the idea of a worn pilot chute with the word "ready for base" sticked on it. (I will take care of the sticker !).

At my DZ nobody has an old crappy dead PC to give (as they won't make a difference between a base PC or a skydive PC, it does not matter). Does any of you want to help ? Postage will be paid of course.

I post this on the skydive forum too.

Thanks anyway !

They wont get the connection.
It will confuse them and not help his chances.

I'm glad someone else thought that too.

I read that post earlier today and thought...
Mistake!

Either they will think you don't know what they
do as a company. (not make the connection)

Or will think you're trying to be "cute" with
the company name...

In which case why not send along
2nd-'base'
from you softball team...

Or the
Free-'base'
kit you keep in the car...push rod and all...!

Since the season's about over the
Xmas tree-'base'
might get a chuckle.

Just be careful...
sometimes the 'real world' doesn't
get 'our' humor.;)
