To do all the terrible things the Trumpettes routinely accuse them of wanting to do. Instead, they have both sides sit down, work on negotiating all the way through the situation, come to a deal and avert a shutdown that would have pretty much paralyzed the supply chain in the US. Not bad for a 'senile old man.' Yes, it was his staff and assistants that did all the hard work. Yes, Biden himself didn't have very much direct involvement in the negotiations. But the staff that DID all the work was put in place by Biden.
