The Allies invading Germany in 1945 is, IMHO, quite different from invading a sovereign nation with which you are not already at war just to get a bunch of terrorists. And I suspect the Spanish, Belgians, Dutch, Austrians etc. were quite pleased for the Brits to come along and throw out their real invaders over the centuries....
