St Paul's Cathedral announces closure due to 'Occupy' protesters

Although he supported the protesters’ right to be heard, he said, he now asked that they leave.

The decision was met with criticism from both sides. One American tourist, who had planned to go to evensong, said: “I guess you reap what you sow. They should have nipped this in the bud.”

Protesters described the decision as a “shame” and voted to ignore the plea.

So nice of them to (A) demand others provide for them with no compensation and (B) provide several reasons for law enforcement and government's services to take action against them. Par for the course I suppose.

What about trespassers, unsanitary litterbugs, folks not of the same faith, and folks preventing mass and stopping the faithful from gaining entry? They have a pretty constant record on those issues, no?

Evict them forthwith before they gain some legal right to stay. Grubby anarchists the lot of them.

I don't get this. Am I beinfg thick? Why don't they just use another doorway. The protestors are only camped by the main door. St Pauls has more than one entrance!

(A) Fire hazard
(B) Slip Trip and Fall Hazard
(C) Sanitary Hazard

St Pauls has lots of entrances. None of the ones that can accomodate worshippers tourists and pilgrims has safe passge due to these leeches.

They can easily afford nice hotels in London so no need to camp out. when they actually pay themselves. Which is rare. also, they have no problem getting in to sites since most banks have relationships with private tour guides and directly with the best sites to accomadate visiting executives. I doubt the church is closed for them.

Must suck to be so full of jealousy. Probably has taken a few years off your life hating as much as you do. It does put a smile on my face though so you are spreading some happiness.

Wrong parasites, professor. We're talking about dirty squating protestors who are forcing a church to close its doors for the first time since the Nazis. We're talking about the ones that have done nothing useful, as opposed to the one that have done great good and great harm.

>What makes you think I'm not in the 1%?

ive heard you mention your a dean and an older gentlemen. so as long as you lived a modest life i would imagine you are in the 1%. so what. that has nothing to do with the fact, by your replies here, you seem like a jealous hateful person.

You can have plenty and still be jealous of others. expecially if you feel you deserve it and they dont.

Actually it turns out that 9 out of ten of the buggers are going home at night because a) They're champagne socialists, b) They really don't have the courage of their convictions and c) the poor little soldiers of the revolution are getting cold bless 'em.

Leeches are leeches.

Considering the relationship between a college degree and employment along with the disparity between wages and the cost of a college education ... professors could be considered leeches.
