quade 3 #3 November 9, 2009 The old joke is that the Democrats are the "Mommy" party and the Republicans are the "Daddy" party. The simple fact the joke exists points out they've had issues for many years. The problem for the Republicans is they just keep making it worse for themselves on some issues. They do try to balance it out a bit by claiming they are the party of "family" values, which does tend to attract a certain type of woman.
