kallend 1,673 #101 December 12, 2007 State subsidies of college tuition are subsidies. This is INDEPENDENT of whether ROTC is involved. ALL students at state colleges receive subsidized education from the taxpayers. There is no quid pro quo. Did you get that, ALL STUDENTS. Not just ROTC. If you attended a state school - you have received a benefit from the taxpayers. Those who receive taxpayer subsidized education (or anything else) should not then turn around and whine when they get high paying jobs and have to pay taxes.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.

Believe what you want, and do what you want with what is yours. Just don't take what is mine. Who paid for your college scholarship? The Dept of Defense. I signed a contract pledging military service after college. "Freedom to Contract." See also "Quid pro Quo." Hmmm - I think the DoD is 100% paid for by the taxpayers. Last time I checked that was the case. And you said in an earlier thread that you went to a taxpayer subsidized state university. So you had no qualms about taking a taxpayer subsidized handout but you don't want to pay when your turn comes. You'll make a great lawyer. Whis logic like that you would make a lousy one. Last time I checked that was the case I have to wonder how much of the heroin in Afghanistan... is finding its way out of there on military assets.. or CIA assets since they are so heavily engaged there. That seemed to work so well for them during the South East Asian War Games in the 60's and 70's And the same people who ran the whole Noriega-Contra funding source are in a position of power now...and they learned their craft in another Republican administration..in.. late 60's/early 70's http://rationalrevolution.net/war/cia_drug_connection_under_reagan.htm What a wonderful legacy
