That's the great big brother that knows better than you at work in San Francisco.

If they were smart, they would put the police in plain cloths, reduce the apparent presence, then there would be no visible target to resist from the trouble makers.

Of course, they know better...it's the enlightened liberals of San Francisco. It's such a beautiful city.

Give SF a freaking break. It's not the only city that is doing this. Parts of Long Beach here are doing it too. http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2007-10-30-Halloween_N.htm Over 200,000 people were expected in the Castro. There comes a point where you cannot provide adequate security for so many people and have to make a decision.
