Mbee 0 #1 February 8, 2017 I've just purchased my first container and can't get to my local DZ because of bad weather to ask my riggers. I'm worried it's a bit too long in length and I seem to be able to do the chest up fully and it's still not snug, however but shoulders definitely won't slip off my shoulders. I'm only half an inch shorter than the recommended height range but still a bit worried that I've wasted time and money. Any personal expereince trying on empty light containers? sammielu 3 #2 February 8, 2017 Your instinct to have a rigger look at you in your rig is correct. Canopies do take up room in containers, so it will fit a bit tighter. Anything specific would be a guess. If you got measured for a rig (by a rigger or dealer - someone with experience doing rig measurements), how do your measurements match the manufacturer measurements? danornan 65 #5 February 11, 2017 Contact Sunpath and they can tell you what the rig was built to fit, unless it has been modified. They can also tell you if you fit it correctly, if you have your correct measurements that were taken by someone who knew what they are doing. It is difficult to take your own measurements. With your experience, you should be working with a good rigger, instructor or a legitimate store.Dano

sammielu 3 #7 February 11, 2017 Call them. That's usually the best way to get immediate response from manufacturers.
riggerrob 558 #8 February 12, 2017 Packing parachute canopies flattens the back-pad and tightens the entire harness. Bottom line: you will never get an accurate harness fit-check with an empty container.
