BikerBabe 0 #1 November 2, 2004 No, not because it will all be over, and not because I'm cheering on one candidate over another. I've been all over the internet today. I am a member of a bunch of forums that cover various interests from skydiving to video games to politics to just general chat, and they ALL are talking about the election. There are links to news sites, poll sites, blogs, rhetoric, etc everywhere. People are all engaged and learning and involved today. I know some of the information is probably pure BS, but when I go on a forum that's dedicated to a certain video game I play and 90% of the new threads are about the election, it makes me smile. These are not people who are typical voters. They are young. They are VOTING! (OK, some are too young to vote...) They care. It's the most amazing thing. I feel like even though we're divided politically, we're all participating in the process today. We're all together in this, no matter what your beliefs. Even if it's only for one day, it still makes me smile. I feel some solidarity today. That's why I love election day. Go vote, and be proud that you're able to do so. Never meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup!
PhillyKev 0 #2 November 2, 2004 It's a freakin' zoo here. Non stop honking, people parading up and down the street playing drums, blowing whistles, screaming. Believe it or not, it was actually nuttier last year for the mayoral race, though.
SpeedRacer 1 #3 November 3, 2004 I agree with BikerBabe. Whover wins, I think its great that so many people are turning out to vote this time! supposedly we might get or even surpass the voter turnout of 1960!
