BillyVance 34 #1 April 25, 2005 Congratulations to Alan Thompson for reaching his 1000th jump over the weekend! His DZO gave him a free tandem jump for the milestone, and he had 5 videographers and 3 friends jumping along. What great camaraderie his DZ has! Here are a couple of pictures. In the group shot, Alan is kneeling center front row. He's also the first Deaf British jumper to reach 1000 jumps. Don't worry, he bought all the beer, some $65 worth! That's £40 pounds for you Brits "Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban

lizzieuk 0 #3 April 26, 2005 WELL DONE ALAN!!! Was a great day, the beer was much appreciated, and it was also Alan's birthday - had fun learning to sign happy birthday to him Thought I'd add a pic of Alan having the tandem harness fitted - he looked the most nervous I'd ever seen him! I might be that nervous too. After over 1100 jumps of my own, can I trust that tandem master to take care of me?? It would definitely be a weird experience, hehehe..."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
