  1. Well done for dealing with it Andy, could hear the stress in your voice after! Just one question- Isn't that the kit that Pench (still a student) has been jumping...? I'm sad I won't be there for the beers this weekend, have one for me!

    In my pants

House of the rising sun in my pants - The Animals Civil war in my pants - Guns n Roses It scares me how much this is entertaining me
  3. woohoo, apparently I'm meant to be in Hawaii!! never would have thought
  4. Before I even saw a plane on my first (and home) DZ I'd had a drink from the bar You can see it in the background here - at a "Superheroes" event Peterlee is a pretty small DZ, usually a cessna 182, with a turbine of some kind over the summer (PS - yes, my boyfriend was a powerpuff girl with me...! cut his skirt out of this pic though ) edit to add pic - doh!
  5. Wow, what a lovely story. Inspirational, thankyou for sharing it
  6. thanks we scrub up well when we try...! weren't quite so glamourous by the end of the evening...
  7. wow, there's so many beautiful skydivers around the world with such beautiful friends
  8. Hehe, your Mum sounds just like my Dad! He will never, ever jump from a plane unless it is absolutely essential. I talk about skydiving and he tells me "you're weird.." However, my Mum's seriously considering jumping for her 50th (sorry Mum!) birthday this year. Ever since I was little I remember discussing with her how much we both wanted to do a skydive. I just happened to get a little caught up, and she's not quite got round to it yet... To top it off, my little sister (who's 17) just WON a tandem in a charity raffle we had at the DZ... so now Mum's furious - she won't have both her daughters doing it and be too afraid to try herself Jury's still out - last I heard was "I'd like to think I could do it..."
  9. I have never been able to live it down that I don't remember seeing star wars I may have when I was very young I guess that doesn't count...
  10. * the more I try to focus on something the fuzzier it gets * no work will do itself whilst I'm on dropzone.com * would putting WD40 on my "rusty" fingers ever work the way my guitar teacher used to tell me it would? * my bedroom has seven walls
  11. a few weeks ago I dreamt I had no legstraps, and was clinging onto the risers so hard. Then realised that one of the DZ regulars (not the smallest guy ever) was hanging onto my legs without a rig on. Oh, and I had a nice lineover and spinning canopy woke up at about 500 ft I think, sat bolt upright and took ten seconds to calm down and laugh... ahhhhh!!!
  12. me too! me too! Not quite four, but at least two, and will be three, maybe four soon And Peterlee will always be home It's where I fell in love with skydiving
