pack40 0 #1 May 22, 2002 Can somebody from UK help. I am looking for a dropzone near London. My cousin lives there and once he mentioned he would "try" skydiving. So I am looking for a dropzone/club with courses for beginners. Does anybody know such club/dropzone/person to contact. No tandem! I want him to jump not to be a ballast. I heared there is still round static line courses in UK that is cheaper and I want to make him suffer. Also if you know some prices that would help. Remster 24 #3 May 22, 2002 yes, the UK is still in the dark ages.... and you can still find DZs putting out students on rounds with belly mounted reserves (sorry, I'm not a fan)... If you hate your cousin that much, why do you want him to skydive?here's a list of all the DZs in the UK with an interactive map:http://www.bpa.org.uk/dropzone/dzone.htmRemsterMuff
pack40 0 #4 May 22, 2002 Well I do not hate my cousin, I like him very much. I am just jelaous he will start now and after a week he'll be more experienced than me. I can let that happen. Thanks for the info I will check these pages.Besides I have 15 round jumps with belly mounted reserve. You know belly mounted reserve is a very good thing when you have a hard landing it is like a soft pillow protecting your face :-). Although when you have 20kg on your back and an additional 6kg reserve that is a real SPORT. Oldimer sport rulez.

'Isn't it beautiful?' 'The sun...' 'Isn't it gorgeous?' 'Wonderful, isn't it?' 'It's so nice and hot...' 'Personally, I think it's so nice when it's hot - isn't it?' 'I adore it - don't you ?' For Bad Weather 'Nasty day, isn't it?' 'Isn't it dreadful?' 'The rain... I hate rain..' 'I don't like it at all. Do you?' 'Fancy such a day in July. Rain in the morning, then a bit of sunshine, and then rain, rain, rain, all day long.' ''I remember exactly the same July day in 1936.' 'Yes, I remeber too.' 'Or was it in 1928?' 'Yes it was.' 'Or was in 1939?' 'Yes, that's right.'
