pilotdave 0 #1 October 19, 2002 October 21, 2000 was the last time I did what I'm about to do. As soon as my passenger is ready to go, I'm heading to the local airport, hopping in the plane, and flying to the dropzone for a day of skydiving. It's a 2 hour drive or a 40 minute flight. I'll choose flying any day. Ahhh, life is good. Now lets hope there's nothing wrong with the plane and the weather sticks to the prediction. phatcat 0 #2 October 19, 2002 You haven't flown in two years and you're going to fly with a passenger now? That's kind of a no-no isn't?
Craig 0 #3 October 19, 2002 I took it as not flying himself to the dropzone to jump in a long time. ex. usually uses another form of transportation??
pilotdave 0 #4 October 19, 2002 Yeah. I didn't fly for nearly a year and a half but I passed my biennial flight review a few weeks ago and have been flying a bunch since. Too windy to jump today, but at least I had a nice flight! Dave
phatcat 0 #5 October 19, 2002 Oops, I guess I read it wrong, sorry! Glad the fight went well. What type aircraft did you take?
pilotdave 0 #6 October 20, 2002 Cessna 172. Landing/taking off with winds almost directly across the runway 15 gusting to 25 was interesting, but worked out fine. My passenger even commented that the landing was soft. I love landing on grass! Dave
