Something Completely Different

Whilst we wax philisophies about Iraq, the world, Homeland Security, the Internet, Boobies and even Thanksgiving, I want to extend a very compassionate focus on a minority which will exist but for one day only here in the US.

I am writing about 30%. 30%. That number represents the percentage of the total work-force which will actually have to work on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.

You are an unappreciated lot. And know this, that while many of us are busy figuring out how adjust the settings on our microwaves to reheat leftovers or debating the results of the previous day's games, we really do appreciate whatever it is that you must do, so that we can enjoy a really long weekend.



Of course, I mean this in good fun, but where I am dead serious with regret that some must work on this day, it is those whom I buy my jump tickets from. For you should be jumping with us, not working and that is a true sacrifice. I salute you.

Don't forget the ones that have to work both thursday and the day after. We have law enforcement, medical, utility and all the service men and women( who may not get a day off in quite somw time). At least I'm off Friday Glen
