"Bama pi kokotni"

Recommended Posts

Question:

Does the expression "Bama pi kokotni" mean anything to you? A Marine
friend said it to me at the end of an email, and I don't want to let on that
I don't understand until I've exhausted at least a few reasonable sources.
Nothing comes up when I type it into Google.

"Bama pi minwa kiwaabmin" or something like that, translates roughly into "I will see you later again", in the Ojibwe Native American language. It is usually shortened to "Bama pi" which is kind of like saying "See you later". I don't know what "kokotni" means.

Hope this helps.
