Just got my Parachutist today and on the back is Virginia Tech's Stadium down in Blacksburg VA. Good to see the place, not where I would have expected to see it but I'm not complaning.

I'm happy to be an VT alumni but those were some fun years. After having spent a good number of weekends during the fall, either in the stadium or at the tailgate parties going on outside, it brings back a lot of good memories.

Just a random thought.....

Glad to see VT in the ACC. Of course that's because I live eight miles from Clemson and am not a Tiger fan. At least that will be one more weekend that the Clemson "faithful" will be quiet

I was at that stadium when the opener vs. GA TECH was rained out. In hindsight I'm kind of glad, because that was the first game of the season for GA TECH and I had delusions of grandeur of us beating a Mike Vick led VA TECH team. I have a feeling an assbeating would have resulted.

Whatever, we (Georgia Tech) would have totally owned Vick and the rest of them. Seeing Lee Corso's car blow up was pretty funny, tho.

Seriously, I love seeing Miami and VT in the ACC now. Maybe that will finally give us some incentive to get our football program out of the crapper (51-7 against U(sic)GA on national TV?)
