Skydiver logic

Recommended Posts

My old gym buddies keep emailing me.
I have been meaning to renew my membership but can't justify the expense at the moment.
A years membership is around the same price as a shiney new PRO TRACK. I thought maybe I could just go twice a week, but for the same price as two casual visits I could do a Hop & Pop from 4000'

buy a cheap ass weight bench from walmart. theyre like 60 bucks or something for a basic deal. That usually includes a couple free weights you can use for everything, calf raises, squats, curls, tricep bends, etc. The weight bench mainly for bench press...

It's worth it, lifting weights will make you a better skydiver.

Huh?

I suppose buying Air Jordans will make me a beter basketball player, Owning a Bayliner instead of a Starcraft will make me a better waterskier, and drinking a shit load of beer will make me better at RW too?

Well, ok, I'll give ya the beer vs. RW one. "Natural arch". B|

And that was an edited post! Guess I should click quicker, huh?

My point is, sure, exercise is good, but the only thing that will make you a better skydiver is to get on a plane, ride up, get out, fall, open, land, pack, repeat.

Well Rev,

for the average joe like you or I (I assume you're average.. lol), maybe, but nowadays, I think Airspeed, the French and the other top teams proved that if you wanna be on top of this sport, our beer bellies wont help....

If you want to be in that top 1/2 of 1 %, go for it. Myself, nah. I'm here to have fun, and the more competetive it gets, the less fun it is. I guess that's why I have adopted video and stills. It's fun as hell!

Speaking of that, my Sony .6 came today. That sucker is W I D E !

Its true in that you will be stronger, more flexible, and less injury prone.
This wont make you a "better" skydiver, but it could very well make skydiving "better" for you :-)
