Man…that comment is kind of drifting along in the waves. Most of that was covered in the Human Cloning forum which got into stem cell research and also contraception and the moral involved with all of that. As for God, it’s the same God if you’re talking about Catholics, Protestants, or Jews. Hinduism is a break from the vast majority of people who believe in one supreme God.

So you object purely on semantics? Language evolves, gay, cool, bad, fuck they all mean different things now then their roots. I couldn't care less what anything is called. I also don't think those opposed to homosexuals getting hitched (sorry about the poor usage) give a crap (damn did it again) about that.

I have no moral objection to homosexuality, and no objection to homosexuals having any form of civil or religious union and rights that a heterosexual couple is entitled to. However, they should invent a new word for it. "Marriage" is taken.

Which particular God are you talking about? The Catholic God who has a serious moral objection to condoms, or the Protestant/Jewish God who has no moral objection to condoms. Or maybe one of the Hindu pantheon.

There are a vast number of Hindus. Maybe you hadn't noticed. Most of them live in India, the second most populous country on Earth. Lots in other places too, including the USA.

Do you consider their Gods somehow inferior to yours?

Last time I checked, Catholic doctrine still forbade birth control and Protestant didn't.

I am definitly not a religious person (even though I am an ordained minister). Having said that, our government doesn't tell you or I what god to worship. Nor should they say who you can't worship. We haven't had any atheist presidents yet and I haven't noticed any of then trying to shove religion down our throats.
