**GUESS THE MOVIE QUOTE**

Recommended Posts

The most recent "Count of Monte Cristo."

very well acted by the lead. I think he was Jesus in "the Passion of the Christ."

How does Tom Cruise get accolades when this guys is an unknown?

Sneakers. Great flick...
So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh
Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright
'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life
Make light!

Yup - same guy - James Caviezel.
And that's about to change....:oB|

Charlton Heston wrote in his book "In the Arena" (I'm paraphrasing) - "It's not enough to be a good actor. The camera has to love you."

Caviezel's got that in spades.

GUESS THE MOViE QUOTE

"For our policemen, we created a race of robots. Their function is to patrol the planets in space ships like this one and prepare for peace. In matters of aggression, we have given them absolute power, a power that cannot be revoked. At the first sign of violence they act automatically against the aggressor. The penalty for provoking their action is too terrible to risk. The result is, we live in peace, without arms or armies, secure in the knowledge that we are free from aggression and war. I came here to give you these facts. It is no concern of ours how you run your own planet. But if you threaten to extend your violence, this Earth of yours will be reduced to a burned out cinder. your choice is simple: join us and live in peace, or pursue your present course and face obliteration."

RoboCop

What are you, kidding? That ain't Robocop. I think that's "The Day the Earth Stood Still." Is that the right title for the movie where the guy comes to earth with the robot that stands guard outside the space ship?

Geez, this thread is in CHAOS.

On a different forum, we observed the rule that no one could just randomly throw out quotes -- someone had to answer the current quote with the correct movie it was from, and then he/she could post a quote.

Since I just got the last correct answer or two, I'll go.

Quote

"What we gotta do is, we gotta grab that tall dude, and stomp the shit out of him, and we'll find out what the hell is goin' on up there!"

(Hint: an ice cream man said it.)

How does Britney Spears get so much attention, and Shawn Colvin is unknown? Same reason, methinks...>:(

You lost me. Are you talking about my quote? The actor who played the ice cream man is Reggie Bannister.

Nah. I was talking about your "The Day the Earth Stood Still" quote - Michael Rennie. B|

As for the other - I had to do an IMDB lookup on him (Bannister) - my bad. That triggered a recall of the movie, naturally. Phantasm, but which one, I can't say. I'm more of a SF&F fan than a horror fan, but here's another one a fan would know--

Name the horror picture in which Tom Savini appeared as a vampire. The picture also starred Cheech Marin and Harvey Keitel.
