I thought the day would never come. In 20 hours the wheels will be up on the plane carrying me to Hawaii. 5 1/2 months since my last jump. The next 22 days are mine


P.S. how well does saltwater substitute for a bath?

lol. in case you were serious, saltwater sucks for bathing. leaves an itchy layer of salt on your skin.

you'd be better off showering with a garden hose then... salt water is icky on your skin when it dries, plus the salt will dry your skin out so it will itch very badly. Perhaps the DZ will let you camp? do they have a shower?

Not sure if they have a shower. Baby wipes will do fine. I have a tent to sleep in but am not bringing a sleeping bag because of lack of room.
I dont care what the living conditions are, I just want to get the hell out of south Korea.

You might think about the Facilities on Base as well.. I used to travel a lot when I was in the USAF and bases used to have temp quarters for visiting military... just a thought.. Its not that far across the island from Honolulu to Pearl/Hickam /Kaneohe Bay/Schofield/Shafter to Dillingham Field..

I was planing on going to the gym on schofield baracks and using the shower inside the locker room. But looks like they have showers at the DZ. Thanks for the link.
