smiler 0 #1 December 24, 2009 I've got a 2004 I3 which has had a Smart 120 and Micro Raven 120 in the top at different times. Aerodyne say it's made for a Smart 110/120. I now want a bigger reserve and like the Optimum. However if the biggest Optimum I can fit in there is a 126 then it's not really worth the hassle of changing up from the 120 that's currently in there. So has anyone packed an Optimum 143 into an Icon I3? I'm a rigger and don't mind if it's a squeeze, as long as it's still safe. Thanks in advance.www.wingin-it.co.uk Wingin' It wingsuit school
FrEaK_aCcIdEnT 0 #2 December 24, 2009 I have a micron V308 that is sized for a smart 120. I have an Optimum 143 in it if that helps. Here is a link to UPT's sizing chart. (see V308) I know its not Icon, but it may help you decide. http://www.unitedparachutetechnologies.com/PDF/Sizing-Chart.pdf ExPeCt ThE uNeXpEcTeD! DoNt MiNd ThE tYpOs, Im LaZy On CoRrEcTiOnS! Scootersv 0 #3 December 25, 2009 Recently have had two '09 made Icons I3 packed with Optimum 143. It fits tight but not ugly and the bulk of the canopy doesn't obstruct the risers tuck tabs to be fully tucked without bending stiffeners in them. We've put one together previously that was tight, but didn't warp any of the stiffeners or wrinkle/bulge any of the flaps. We have another I3 on order that we will be putting an Optimum 143, Vigil II and Crossfire2 139 inside. I don't anticipate any issue there either. bentko 0 #6 January 5, 2010 I have an Optimum 143 in my 2008 I3, and it fits nicely. No complaints from the riggers who have packed it
