I was sleeping after a terrible bout of insomnia, only to be awakened by a terrible beeping tone...searched my whole damn house.

Was seriously pissed off after a half hour, needed to sleep in a serious way...

Finally discovered the source of the insidious whine...

My Time-Out was in its death spasms...

I had to pull its battery.

That same thing happened to me once - I was so freaking confused! Middle of the night, my roommate and I stumbling around trying to figure out what the fuck was going off, turning things on and off... seriously, it was one of the worst noises ever.
