glgflyer 0 #1 March 9, 2009 I saw a guy at my DZ brushing his container with some kind of small brush to clean it. Can someone tell me what type of brush to use for this and whether or not it will damage the material in any way? Thanks for the help.
NWFlyer 2 #2 March 9, 2009 I have a natural bristle brush that I got at a shoe repair shop (recommended to me by a rigger)."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. O'Rourke
glgflyer 0 #3 March 9, 2009 Thanks for the info. Does it do a good job of cleaning the container?
riggerrob 558 #4 March 9, 2009 I use a brush with stiff nylon bristles, like you would use to clean your finger nails or potatoes. A friend recently did an excellent job of cleaning seat belts using only a tooth brush. It took her a long time, but the seat belts ended up pretty. monkycndo 0 #6 March 9, 2009 Where I started, we had a nylon brush in the packing room for cleaning containers that was labeled as the "brush of shame". Then went to a different DZ and the rigger called the rig brush the "brush of quiet dignity". It's all about perspective.50 donations so far. Give it a try.
