masterrig 1 #29 September 23, 2005 That's the area my sister-in-law and her husband spent 19-hr. in traffic to get away from. They're now, here. Glad to see Houston area avatars popping-up here! Chuck

What I meant was we had prepared and waited, waited and waited. Then when it was supposed to be here, we got a very glancing blow (thank goodness). After being wound up so tight for so long. Planning, gathering, securing, then waiting and waiting. It felt kind of a let down.. I'm glad too. skydivermom 0 #33 September 24, 2005 Reporting in from Boerne (near San Antonio) I'm from Baytown and thanking God right now that it wasn't as bad as originally expected. My boys (plus cat, a dachshund and her two puppies) left Wednesday evening. What is a 4 hour trip turned into a 12 hour one. Would have been longer had I not left I-10 in Columbus (@ 2 am) and taken the back roads to Boerne. I was lucky enough to stop at a gas station in Columbus that still had fuel. I've never in my life driven all night, literally. Just glad our car had no trouble and the kids slept most of the way. Hope everyone else is okay as well. God Bless.
