skymama 35 #6 December 7, 2005 I read this in a magazine but haven't tried it yet...it said to use mineral spirits and a stiff brush to get some of the oil up. Then, cover it with cat litter overnight to soak up the stain. BillyVance 34 #22 December 7, 2005 QuoteMuratic acid.. Careful its strong stuff. That was the first thing that came to mind when I read Shrek's post... It's Muriatic... you do have to be careful with it, and not just because it's a strong acid. Don't leave traces of it laying around after you're finished. Dogs are drawn to it like antifreeze. They lap it up and die... I had the oil pan in my old Porsche 914 give out one day and spill the entire contents over my friend and roommate's driveway... I got a pressure washer and was only able to get as good as a light stain.... Now, 8 years later, the rest of the driveway has caught up to it and you can't see where the stain was."Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
skinnyshrek 0 #23 December 7, 2005 Avoided the muriatic as the pool place said not to use it. I went for a DE-Greaser from Auto Zone. Seems to be doing the trick. Apparently, the acid shit will burn a hole through anything.http://www.skydivethefarm.com do you realize that when you critisize people you dont know over the internet, you become part of a growing society of twats? Slappie 9 #24 December 7, 2005 QuoteApparently, the acid shit will burn a hole through anything. The word acid would have triggered a warning in my head. You should by some just for shits n giggle. Get a beer can, place it in the driveway and pour some Muriatic acid in/on it. Then watch... Amazing what that stuff eats.
