computer user account help please

Recommended Posts

Hi there, i have just set up a wireless router. I am trying to find a way to stop children that have an account on the main computer accessing the internet.

Is there any way to set up so their accounts (users) can not access the wireless or the internet at all?

I hope you get what i mean.

if you set up their computer accounts to only have limited access then you can pretty much dictate what they can do. you can restrict them from acessing many programs.
at least on XP you can.
Just create user accounts for each kid, with limited acess rights

I have set them up as limited accounts but how do i stop the wireless connection being there for them? I mean, i went in to their accounts and clicked on firefox and it opened up. Down on the right corner of the task bar the wireless icons are there running as well. How do i delete all this from their accounts and keep it on mine?

I am running XP.

Yeah, not figuring this out very well on how to set up a password.

I would have thought that i could make certain software appear in other users accounts or make them not appear may the case be.

If anyone has the time to go through this with me, please do.
