Elisha 1 #1 October 20, 2006 Every time I open it since about two days ago it crashes when I try to look at the Inbox. When AVG tries to scan the first new message, it just sits scanning it forever. WTF? It says that all my new e-mails from the past two days have been downloaded, but I can't even see them! So far I have: 1) Used AVG to do a regular full disk scan including downloading the most recent update 2) Run Adaware 3) Run Spybot Search & Destroy 4) Downloaded Thunderbird 1.5 (newest version) and installed it. It still crashes. I suppose I could switch back over to OE in the meantime, but it sucks and I want to use Thunderbird since it is better! Thanks. Mikhail 0 #2 October 21, 2006 Have you tried disabling AVG altogether? As long as you're careful, you should be fine. Mind you, I have been spoiled by running Linux (What is this "spyware" you speak of? :P). Mikhail
jsaxton 0 #3 October 21, 2006 Are you _sure_ that it's not the server, Try another client like Eudora to make sure. Once you're sure that it's not the server try completely de-installing TB and re-installing.
