The problem with fashion is that its in a constant state of Flux... I was told by a friend of mine that I wasn't supposed to wear my boot-cut "fashionable" jeans unless I was willing to adhere to the remaining fashion requirements of what style of Shirt, type of shoes, etc...

and here I thought the whole idea of clothing was to cover myself up thus keeping me warm, protect me from the elements, (or at least keep me out of jail...) everything beyond that is bonus points...

What the fuck does "fashion forward" mean? It's fucking socks! Wear what's comfortable, quick, and doesn't stink. If someone actually cares what your choice looks like, he's probably an idiot. That's the approach that works for me.

I almost always wear white socks. Exceptions being dress socks, motorcross socks and 1 pair of black socks. (non dress)

That's a valid point, I'll retract the "fucking". One of my few absolute rules related to sex is that I can't be wearing socks unless I'm also wearing other clothes. A man wearing nothing but socks is even more ridiculous looking than one who's simply naked.
