1 yr ago today a massive man hunt was under way just blocks from where I work and only a few miles from where I live. Today is a sad day remembering such an outstanding deputy and his K-9.

shot the dog too...

so then the cops form this YUGE should to should line...and just started walking into the woods shooting...

That's awful, and to think of all who sneered at taking weapons retention classes.

It left me thinking WTF? we had a female 105lb intructor take the sidearm off of every person at the classes, you should have seen their faces afterwards.

Spin like your life depends on it, because it does.

BTW like a skirmish line, or were they really that close to each other?

if truly shoulder to shoulder they are lucky to not have to bury a few more officers.

I have a special place in my heart for all surviving friends and family of officers that were killed. Next wednesday (October 3rd) will be the 2yr mark of when my sister was killed in the line of duty. Police officers put their lives on the line everyday, and should be remembered and honored.

A sad day , I remember it well.

On another note, I just heard the PBA is looking for skydivers (Cops) with over 200 jumps and who have the ability to raise $1000.00 to be a part of a 25 way RW jump with the money going to the Law Enforcement Officers Memorial fund. Not sure where or when the jump is yet.
