Determinating type of link

Recommended Posts

i first saw them around 1975.they were on a french made(E.F.A)strato star.i was working at para flite at the time, and=we all thought it was funny that E.F.A could have used the french Maillon Rapide links that we were buying from E.F.A.(no one was distributing them in the U.S.A.at that time),but instead chose to apparently design a new forged link that was far heavier.ahhh those french...........

Hey,
Anyone who can help me determinating what type of link this is? I'm guessing PdF, but what type?

They were very popular in europe in the 1980's, I saw them on just about every canopy at each DZ I visited. Rapide links were a novelty back then on european drop zones and a sure sign that a "foreginer" was jumping there.

Mick.
