try using URL tags.... before the link, and after the link.

It is a square bracket [ with the letters url inside and then close the square bracket ] at the end of the link the same thing except it will be /url inside.
Fortunately, I'm adhering to a pretty strict, uh, drug, uh, regimen to keep my mind, you know, uh, limber.

this does depend on what forum you're using though it isn't always a square bracket and yes, most will have a handy button you can press once before typing the link and once after and it puts in the right code at the start and end for you.

yup, but you have to close the tag. closes it at the end.

so..

[a href="http://www.TheLinkHere.com"]This is what they see to click it [/a]

But like Sky said, use < and > instead of [ and ]
