Storing Rigs - UK

Hi
I'm going to be heading off travelling for approx 6 months and need to store all my worldly possessions. My main worry is storing my rig. Has anyone else put a rig into storage for that amount of time? If so did you have any problems and what did you do to protect it. I'm living in the UK if that will make a difference.

If you're away over the winter, try and keep it somewhere that will be above freezing and prevent any moisture from getting to it.

I would suggest leaving it unpacked as well, just to keep the ZP in good condition.

Why not give the rig to a skydiving buddy to look after? Surely you know a skydiver or two you can trust to look after your gear for a few months.

I've had gear unused for that long before and had no problems with it at all (though I repacked before jumping it) tho I did keep it in a dry spare bedroom.

Just get a mate to stick it in the spare room!

will keeping it packed make that much of a difference? Seasons getting ready to end and mine will be stored (in spare room) for about 4 months.

Seriously, leave your rig with another skydiver, just make sure that skydiver has a rig of there own.
