Making chest strap longer

Now that I'm starting to swoop a little I would like a longer chest strap.
Can a Master Rigger do this or does it need to go back to the factory?

That is an easy job - a Master Rigger is required, but he can handle it.

Or in my case I replaced it under the supervision of a Master Rigger. On some rigs it's very easy, others not so much. What kind of harness? Upper articulation? That usually makes it a whole lot easier.

Go up to Skydance or take it to Pete in Lodi.

It should take about 15 minutes to replace it.

can you just order a longer chest strap when ordering harness/container? I know Voodoo comes with thinner chest strap and should come with extra length, no?

btw, how mch longer should it be?

It's a simple request most manufacturers should be able to do for you.

As for the width, the thinner stuff is type 17 and thicker is usually type 8 webbing. That in it's self should have no bearing on length. I prefer type 8 for comfort and the way it fits through the buckle.

As for the proper length, well that's a comfort thing. I have 26" chest straps on my rigs to allow the canopy to spread as much as possible.

My rigger put a longer chest strap on my old rig, but that was because I'm a fat bastard and it didn't fit very well! I got a new set of kit now.
