nanook 1 #1 January 12, 2010 My brother-in-law and his wife live in Arkata and his wife is an editor in Eureka. This is her office and the people running are her reporters. Notice the dog was the first to know. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FV4EMzyJsqU_____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln

ltdiver 3 #4 January 12, 2010 QuoteWe are getting constant updates. A lot of buildings there are being condemned. Sorry to hear that. I was wondering about the initial reports being so light after a shaking as hard as that was. We had our own little tremor here in SoCal today. Several of them, it seems, but I only felt the one about 3 hours ago. Only a 4.3 but shook pretty good here. The center was about 10 miles away. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

BillyVance 34 #7 January 13, 2010 I know one thing for sure, if I had to choose, I would rather go through the one in Eureka, CA, than the one that just blasted Haiti to hell today! nanook 1 #8 January 13, 2010 No question there. I visited Port Au Prince years ago when my ship pulled in for community relations projects. That place cannot afford any type of disaster._____________________________ "The trouble with quotes on the internet is that you can never know if they are genuine" - Abraham Lincoln
