DexterBase 0 #1 February 2, 2005 Can you use F111 to patch a tear in ZP? What about the other way around?
darkwing 4 #2 February 2, 2005 No. Either way would be a big no-no. Only McGyver would do it, but then he could make a turbine engine with a gum wrapper. -- Jeff My Skydiving History

masterrig 1 #4 February 2, 2005 According to Poynter's Parachute Manual, always use like material. It would be like replacing a Cordura closing flap with burlap. 0-P is a tighter woven Nylon material and the 'treating' process is different from the less-tighter woven F-111 material. DexterBase 0 #6 February 2, 2005 It's just a question really. Katie has a pretty burly 6" snag on her endcell topskin that needs to be patched. I have a bunch of black ZP but the snag is on the F111 portion of the cell. I was curious if the F111 can be patched with ZP. We'll probably just run it over to another friends house and he can take care of it. If you're sending a box anyhow, you might substitute a couple shirts for the ZP though. hehe. Got you!
