SpeedRacer 1 #1 February 3, 2012 I don't have an internet connection at home except for my Droid. Today I got an email from a potential employer to schedule a phone interview for next week. I received & replied to it thru my mobile phone's email app. Over an hour later I got on a computer at the library & discovered that my reply was nowhere to be found, not in the Inbox or the Sent box. I quickly retyped my reply & sent it out again, then rechecked the app on my phone. The app still showed that I had replied earlier, and the Outbox was empty. WTF?! When I send out an email I EXPECT it to go out when I hit SEND! Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------
theonlyski 3 #2 February 3, 2012 Most devices don't sync their 'Sent' folder. Now they have 2 replies from you, way to play it cool, speed racer. SpeedRacer 1 #3 February 3, 2012 But I checked online on the real computer just 20 minutes ago. There is only the record of the SECOND attempt to reply (which I did from the computer). There is no evidence (based on the timestamp of the reply) that the first attempt ever occurred. I think I am going to uninstall the email app, and just access my email through the web browser. This kind of crap is unacceptable. Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------
theonlyski 3 #4 February 3, 2012 Gimme your email address, I'll prove it. Really, you're letting this get to you when it's completely normal."I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message
SpeedRacer 1 #5 February 3, 2012 Ok I just received and replied to your email using the app at 5:58 PM EST Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------
SpeedRacer 1 #6 February 3, 2012 Huh. Obviously you did receive my reply this time when I sent it through the app. But when I checked Yahoo through the browser, your email is in my Inbox but there is no evidence that I replied either in the Inbox or the Sent box. Even after waiting and hitting Refresh a couple of times. Why is that? Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------

Even after waiting and hitting Refresh a couple of times. Why is that? Because yahoo doesn't keep track of your sent items from a different device. SpeedRacer 1 #8 February 3, 2012 I see you're right, but in this case, it was sent from the SAME device, but using a different app. (Mobile email app vs. Web browser). But I guess the same principle applies. Weird. Speed Racer --------------------------------------------------

NWFlyer 2 #10 February 4, 2012 Is there perhaps a setting in the mobile app that you need to change? Or you could just switch to gmail, where everything's synced across platforms.
