Jumpdude 0 #1 January 20, 2013 Has anyone seen the movie on SyFy called Tasmanian Devils? There's a Base scene at the beginning of the movie where they are doing a Base jump off of what MAY be El Capitan, And The gear check was a Total FAIL! The first jumper/character they focused the camera on obviously didn't get a gear check, He was jumping a Talon Container, but the Harness on his left side was twisted in the torso area and the reserve handle was dangling! I ain't by any means the greatest jumper, not even very good, but even I don't make those kind of mistakes.

IMGR2 0 #3 January 20, 2013 Yeah I was laughing my ass off. The first jumper, the one that fell on the spike is olympic skater Apolo Ohno. Horrible acting, stick with speed skating dude.

Jumpdude 0 #5 January 20, 2013 Those didn't look like any Base rigs I've ever seen! They actually look more like student rigs! ***Edited to add; And the surprise ending, they did a reverse tandem/hug hold Base jump with the monster in freefall 10 ft above them!!!! That's the same thing they did in Dropzone but of course, without the monster! Could anyone actually hold on during opening shock?

Jumpdude 0 #7 January 21, 2013 In that video, they called it "Devil's Peak". I didn't catch that part when I saw it on TV.
