We bought a 2000 Explorer new...it went 7200 miles before throwing a rod through the block.



Well at least it was covered under warranty. My Tundra's transmission conked out at 20,000 miles. Had it replaced completely free, with a free rental car for 2 weeks. :S

That transmission has been good ever since. :)
