Fat is good for you. In controlled amounts.
Not junk food fat that's just disgusting but a good lump of protein with it's fat,
or when making a pie halve the butter and add refined lard,
it makes me cringe when I see people cutting out every piece of fat
in a good piece of meat or ham.

The realization that fat has been unfairly demonized began in 2002 when Gary Taubes published this article:
