FreefallingCari 0 #1 November 20, 2013 Hi everyone. I just started AFP recently, and I will be jumping my Hop n' Pop's on Sunday, along with 3-4 extra jumps. I have been jumping several times a week so that I can finish quickly, and keep the new skills fresh. I am a Nurse, and one of my coworkers bought me a tandem jump as a surprise. I had 3 tandem jumps, fell in love with it, and the rest is history. It's like therapy. I can have have a bad week, but once I jump it ALL goes away.Skydiver Survivor; Battling Breast Cancer one jump at a time. DX June 19th 2014 I have been jumping since October 5th 2013. https://pinkribbonskydiver.wordpress.com/
Karen89 0 #2 November 20, 2013 That's what I love about jumping! Nothing in the past or future really matters to me and in freefall, I feel really really calm and not panicky!
Trafficdiver 8 #3 November 21, 2013 I had a manager talk me into jumping (although he didn't buy it for me). Now he is a pilot and I'm a damn junkie. I send him FB messages thanking him for it all the time.
davjohns 1 #4 January 8, 2014 1. My greatest calm is when I get out of the aircraft. The jump will go well, or not. There is no office; no bills; family problems; no deadlines; etc. There is only THIS moment. Yes, it is therapeutic. 2. Change your avatar or get hit on alot with this crowd. I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course. potatoman 0 #5 January 8, 2014 Jup, my SO can pick it up when it has been a while since I jumped. Not just the calm of the jump, but the calm after the jump, the free feeling, stays for a while. You have the right to your opinion, and I have the right to tell you how Fu***** stupid it is. Davelepka - "This isn't an x-box, or a Chevy truck forum" Whatever you do, don't listen to ChrisD. BobxMarley 1 #6 January 8, 2014 I started my AFF the first week of November 2013. Now I'm three jumps away from my A license. All I can say is, it keeps getting better and better as you go. It's an amazing journey.Klaasic
