Newbie being social and saying 'hi!'

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I'm a newbie to these forums and to skydiving.

So far I have only done 3 tandem skydives (all in Taupo, NZ), but absolutely loved them all and am now going to be doing an AFF course somewhere at some point. Money is my major limiting factor just now! So will either be doing it this summer if I can scrape enough money together, or the summer after that... Since the 'summer after that' is like 16 months away, I REALLY hope I can scrape the money together this summer! Will just have to wait and see!

Anyway, hi to everyone!

Hi!

I too got hooked after doing tandems. I'm now up to level 6 of my AFF, it's taking ages because of our stoooopid british weather. But I'll get there in the end, and so will you! Good luck with the saving, and however much you think you need, double it and add some more - skydiving has already left me totally broke, but do I care...:)

Oh shit.

I figured I was going to have enough money, maybe at a complete stretch and having no more money for the summer and a bigger overdraft, to do an AFF course in Spain with a few hundred Euro extra for repeating a level or two and to do the 10 consol jumps... i.e. about £1500.

If that's not going to be enough (and I will be utterly broke after that) then it will have to wait till the next summer!

some folks have actually worked off some of the costs, if you can find the right DZ.... good luck

Yeah? You wouldn't happen to know off the top of your head any DZ's that offer that sort of opportunity?
